• Better Home Group for Real Estate celebrated the joining of Spinneys chain stores to Cityscape trade center in Sixth of October with investments of LE 300 million.
• At a press conference at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza, with the attendance of a number of leaderships and the two companies officials, Engineer 'Essam 'Adel, Better Mall CEO and Shadi Ashkar, Spinneys General Manager in Egypt, signed the contract.
• 'Adel stated that Better Home company owns, manages and undertakes the establishment of Cityscape mall in Sixth of October on an area of 27,000 square meters.
• He added that it will be a new addition to Egypt's commercial centers due to its size, services and entertainment within it especially that it is designed according to the latest styles and will be managed by Projex American Company.
• Better Mall CEO stated that its official inauguration is expected in July 2010 and that it will provide around 5000 working opportunities.
• 'Adel said that Cityscape will include more than 100 commercial stories, four cinemas and a large parking area, in addition to and artificial lake and island providing splendid scenery, which could be utilized in holding promotional events and festivals.
• He referred to the existence of an area for restaurants providing best and good quality fast foods. The center will be comprised of an events area amounting to 2500 square meters without columns covered by a BVC Teflon substance that is designed in Hungary, he stated.
• 'Adel highlighted that this mall will be the first among a series of commercial centers that Better Home plans to establish in Egypt as it will build Cityscape 2 in Menya to serve the people of Upper Egypt and another mall called Cityscape 3 that will be established in Al-Tagamoa' Al-Khames soon.
• Adel recounted by saying that Better Mall possesses an ambitious plan for expansion in the Egyptian market, as it plans to establish tourist resorts in Al-'Ain Al-Sokhuna and the Northern Coast.
• He indicated that the company's investments in Egypt amount to around LE 1.7 billion.
• Spinneys general manager confirmed his happiness for joining Cityscape commercial center, which provides an ideal place for shopping.
• Ashkar stated that the supermarket area is 2000 square meters offering high quality products and distinguished services to meet consumers' requirements.
• He estimated that this store will employee 120 people as a starting point.
• He asserted that Spinneys store chains are regarded as the largest retail seller in the Middle East and North Africa.
• He highlighted that the company has a great history in Egypt as it was first formed in 1924 in Alexandria then it was launched to other countries such as Lebanon and Emirates and now in Egypt with intentions to open new branches in Jordon and Qatar.
• According to him, Spinneys was able to acquire Egyptian consumers trust thanks to its varied and high quality products of which 80% are produced locally.
• He concluded that Spinneys intends to open 10 new branches within the coming three years in Egypt's most important areas and governorates.
