• With LE 300 million investments, Better Home Real Estate Group signed an agreement for including Spinneys supermarket stores chains in its trade center "Cityscape" in Sixth of October, to become Spinneys the main commercial store in the center.
• At a press conference at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza last Monday, Engineer 'Essam 'Adel, Better Mall CEO and Shadi Ashkar, Spinneys General Manager in Egypt, signed the contract.
• 'Adel said that Cityscape, which is owned by Better Home Group that established it in Sixth of October on an area of 27,000 square meters, will be a new addition to the world of trade centers in Egypt in relation to size of services within it.
• It includes more than 100 trade stores for various famous international brands, cinema, an area for children's entertainment games, artificial lake, an area for several restaurants and the existence of a place for huge celebrations on an area of 2500 square meters covered with sand and water, he stated.
• According to him, the center is expected to be inaugurated in July 2010 thus providing around 5000 working opportunities.
• Better Mall CEO pointed out that this mall will be the first series of commercial centers that Better Home Group plans to establish, as Cityscape 2 has been established in New Minya City to provide Upper Egypt inhabitants with the services and entertainment that they deserve.
• It will be inaugurated in January 2011 and also establishment of Cityscape 3 is undergoing planning in Al-Tagamou'a El-Khamis district soon, he noted.
• 'Adel asserted that Better Home Group is keen to be distinguished in its various projects and expand investment within the Egyptian market.
• He went on by saying that its investments in Egypt amount to around LE 1.7 billion with 100 % local management and labor.
• Ashkar expressed his happiness to join Cityscape due to its existence in an ideal place for shopping and visiting.
• He announced the inauguration of the third Spinneys branch in Egypt, this being Cityscape Mall.
• He confirmed that Spinneys stores are regarded as the largest retail seller in the Middle East and North Africa with long history in this field since its establishment in 1924 in Alexandria and from there moved to other countries such as Lebanon and the Emirates.
• He stated that soon its branches are expected to be inaugurated in Jordan and Qatar.
• Spinneys products in Egypt are 80 % local products, in which more than 1000 employees work in its branches and 10 new branches are expected to be inaugurated in the coming three years in the most important governorates and areas in Egypt, he stated.
• Spinneys general manager explained that the store is distinguished in providing good service, customer service, quality and competitive prices up until it became the cheapest in the field of consumption products in Egypt.
